After picking up my Canon RF 85mm f/2 MACRO IS STM, I was eager to get a subject in front of my camera so I hit a friend who lives a few blocks away and is always down to shoot, my good friend Sasa Juste. I have to admit I was shocked at the quality of the video when matched up with the EOS R. Coming from the Canon 7D MKII the quality is significant and with the image stabilization of the RF 85MM, it makes handheld shoot unreal. Imagine if I upgrade to the R5 or R6!

For those of you who have followed me and my journey in the NYC art scene, you know I always credit Nasiyr, better known as Osyris Antham, for me even becoming a member of Legendary Cyphers and becoming acquainted with most of the artist that I know today. From the first time I heard him rap at Nicholas Brooklyn, a small A variety shop, I immediately recognised his talent. I bring this up because recently well respected Emcee and Grammy-nominated lyricist has championed Osyris as one of the best Emcee in the world.

So I've been granted the honor of being among the first few hundred people to beta test Twitter’s newest feature Twitter Spaces. I don't remember exactly how I found Twitter spaces (you have to be following someone who hosting or speaking in a room to see the feature) but I was definitely in love with the user interface and sound quality in comparison to the clubhouse app. So before I get into how Gary Vaynerchuk broke my Spaces, I'll give a run down into what I like and what I feel needs improvement before launch!

Walter Wallace Jr, who was shot 10x in West Philadelphia on October 26, is the latest Black Man to be killed by police. The incident has thrown more fuel ton a fire that has burned all summer nationwide which started with the death of George Floyd. Wednesday night a crowd of a little over 100 demonstrators took the streets of Brooklyn in a pure rage smashing windows, throwing trash, and lighting whatever they could find on fire.

NYC’s Police Abolition movement followed through on their promise to disrupt the city with the third ftp demo. From chaining emergency doors open to gorilla gluing metrocard turnstiles, the Grassroots collective has definitely left an impression upon the city. The movement is demanding a transit system free of police presence, free fare, and accessibility for all citizens. Every year hundreds of New Yorkers participate in the “No Pants Subway Ride Prank”, organized by the local organization Improv Everywhere. The event which originally started out with just 7 New Yorkers is now a global. The 2020 No Pants Subway Ride Pranks has gone international including the proper English translation of “No Trousers Tube Ride” for our friends across the pond. Though I’ve been in NYC for the last 20+ years this is my first time attending the event. (And no i didn’t go pantsless. lol)
