Who Decides War SS26 Fashion Show finale

“Silhouettes dance around structured tailoring, unraveling into fluid drape, with layers that feel fractured yet deliberately rebuilt. Textures highlight erosion and renewal through distressed fabrics, raw edges, visible seams, and juxtapositions of heavy and fragile materials. The palette begins in dusty greys, charred black, woodgrain and sand, moving through rust and oxidized tones, before soft greens and blossoms emerge as symbols of regrowth. Details like materials resembling cracks and roots, or draping that mimics collapsing structures, underscore the tension between decay and reconstruction. The narrative moves from collapse to ruins, then toward regrowth and renewal. “Read the Room” identifies quiet beauty in what remains and imagines new growth from these fragments.”

For a few hours every week- 8-12 pm every Friday night from May to November- the southwest platform of Union Square Park is transformed from one of many busy New York city corners, into a creative space that elevates free expression, originality, and raw hip hop in its purest form. Knowledge is shared, cultures are connected and the community is born. The cypher is, in its simplest form, a group of artists exchanging ideas in rhyme.
